Cardiac catheterization can readily localize the left-to-right shunt of the pulmonary artery and differentiate the condition from a ventricular septal defect or an atrial septal defect. Often with appropriate manipulation the cardiac catheter can be passed through the patient ductus, visually confirming the diagnosis. Aortography is the most definitive diagnostic measure, visually demonstrating the flow of dye from the aorta through the ductus in to the pulmonary arteries. ICD10 Certification.makes you spend more time with patients and increase the quality of the care.
