Victor Martinez, the catcher of the Boston Red Sox, had to leave Monday’s game against Tampa Bay after being hit in the foot product of a ball foul.
Martinez was injured in the second inning when a foul contact Jason Bartlett hit the toe of one foot.
Martinez remained in the game while Bartlett was struck to end the inning. Martinez was removed from the meeting after receiving a walk in the third episode and find it difficult to jog toward first base.
