When we purchased our first home we decided to research home insurance companies for the best rate we could possible get on our home insurance policy. Every local home insurance company gave us a home insurance quote. We found that some did not give us the coverage we were looking for so we automatically decided to not go with them. There were two companies that had the right amount of coverage for affordable rates. We made our final decision based on the terms of the contract. One of the companies had a term that required we keep our policy for ten years. We went with the other company.
