Some people may find that they want to add their laptop to a wireless network, but their notebook does not contain the necessary hardware in order to establish a connection. Older laptop computers may only support Ethernet cables or have no network functionality at all. You can always check in your laptop manual to see if you have the internal hardware. If you do not have any internal wireless technology, you can simply buy laptop network cards in the form of a USB or PCMCIA device. You will also be able to use USB network adapters for desktop machines.
