I am, among my friends and family, known as the “phone killer”. I have literally gone through three cell phones in the last year, and it is not because they broke on their own. Rather, it is because I destroy them accidentally, usually by dropping them in water! This last time, though, I found a way to fix my telephone line. Someone told me that if I were to let the phone simply sit and dry for 2 weeks before even attempting to turn it on, I would be able to use it again. Guess what, it worked! I think the secret to fixing a water-damaged phone is not to do anything. I have always tended to mess with it after it got wet, trying to turn it on, putting it in rice, and other remedies. All of these things cause the water to move around more and may make it harder to fix. Just let it dry and don’t touch it!
